Prismatica Business: Tsurugi Farmstead

THE FARMSTEAD

A moderately sized farm plot in the Greatmoon Groves located between two larger, Prismal-owned properties, the Tsurugi Farmstead is operated by Lunatia's resident centaur couple. With the help of chroma fertilizer they grow a variety of crops that end up on their table or at the local markets, including rice, staple vegetables, and a variety of seasonal fruits. In addition to maintaining and harvesting their crops, they also run a small cafe and inn of sorts from their home on the property. It's nothing fancy, just a seat around their own kitchen hearth and a guest room set up on the second floor of the storehouse, but it's a haven of country hospitality in the midst of modern Lunatia.

* Please note that Tsurugi Farmstead is closed to visitors during the full Sanguis and Iris moons, as well as the Triple Moon period.

THE FARMHOUSE

Built eschewing most modern methods by a wife who ran a lumber yard and a husband who is used to constructing his own shelters (plus the help of hired hands, ngl), the main building on the property resembles a traditional Japanese farmhouse. This farmhouse is designed for jinba comfort, with clear floors, low tables, high ceilings, and wide rooms. Attached to the side of the house is a shed used to store tools and equipment, with various vegetables and fruits often hanging along the outside walls for drying. In pride of place displayed on small shelves here and there are items collected throughout Konoha's journeys and the couple's stay in Lunatia. Traditional as the decor and construction of the home is, it's not like they prefer to live without any modern comforts. There's a few appliances in the kitchen, indoor plumbing, and electricity available. On most days all the sliding doors are left open to let in fresh air and sunlight, and visitors are more than welcome.

THE INN

They call it that, but it's just one room on the second floor of the farm storehouse. Or two, if you put up a screen. It involves passing through the neatly stacked piles of grain, pots of miso, drying vegetables, baskets of fruit, pickling plums, ground well, and storage cabinets, but up the stairs is a neat and tidy private space with futon(s), lanterns for light, a dresser, low table and cushions, and depending on the season, either a fan or brazier. Whether you're looking for a rustic getaway in the country or are perhaps newly arrived and struggling with the more modern landscape, if the room's available it's yours! If you'd rather not pay in chroma or demichroma, you're welcome to work off room and board by helping out in the fields.

THE HOT SPRING

Behind the farmhouse and along the river running through the property is a small natural hot spring. Cleaned up by the jinba and lined with stones, there's now a little bathing shed nearby for changing and washing off, as well as drying towels and hanging clothes. It may not be a fancy spa, but this spring will do just fine for easing tired muscles and promoting good circulation! Just enjoy the steam and the nature view from the water... as long as you don't mind that technically the only thing shielding you from sight is a few stones and bushes.

THE CAFE

More than an actual cafe, it's really just... Konoha's kitchen. There's not a separate menu or ordering system for guests- what's served up is whatever that day's meal is. Though of course, she'll adjust things here and there if you really need it? These meals rely heavily on their own crops and morning trips to the market in the Groves, so expect a good helping of rice, pickled vegetables, fresh salads, seasonal fruits, and delicious steamed and salt grilled meats. If you come by for lunch you can sit at the table or out on the veranda, and if you come by later you can gather round the hearth for a good hotpot. Whether the cafe is open for visitors or not that day will be posted by the farmstead's sign on the road that splits from the Groves' main path, along with that day's dishes. Well, a drawing of that day's dishes.

I realize I should have done this ages ago but HEY! HERE I AM!

Kanji is an Exalted Sanguis, so he's got that overflowing chroma going for him. He may do fly-bys during the full moon to shake off some of it and give the crops an extra perk up.

Otherwise:

-He enjoys cleaning and has no problems reaching rooms the jinba can't
-Can help in the fields
-Can help in the kitchen, and may insist on some days that Konoha take a break with a drink under an umbrella (TREAT YO SELF) and he could feed the crew.
